Irish Motocross of Nations stars set to shine at Little Silver

The eighth and final round of the British Motocross Championship takes place tomorrow at Little Silver and while the Tyco Suzuki boys Martin Barr [MX1] and Stuart Edmonds [MX2] are out of the title hunt on their RM-Z machinery, both men will be looking to give a good showing before the winter break. Unfortunately Stephen Sword’s shoulder injury hasn’t allowed him to make the gate for the final races of the year.

Martin currently holds fifth place in the MX1 standings and will be looking to upset the formbook and take his first moto win of the season. In MX2 Stuey Edmonds currently holds eighth place in the standings, and like his team-mate, is well capable of a podium finish to end his year on a high.

Martin Barr:
“I’m really looking forward to Little Silver which is our last British round of the year and I’ll be hoping for a strong finish to the season.”

Stuart Edmonds:
“I like the Little Silver track as it always seems to go well for me and it would be nice to post a good result to finish off the season on a high. I’ll be aiming for top three as I’d like to better my fourth place finish from Desertmartin earlier in the season, so watch out for The Stig!”

Adam Lyons – Team Manager:
“The season has flown by for everyone involved and even though we are not in the title hunt, I will expect the boys to put on a good show and have the Tyco Suzuki RM-Z machinery up at the business end of all motos. Everyone has given one hundred percent, from the riders to the mechanics, so it would be nice to end the year on a high.”
