The Metal Mulisha General, Brian Deegan claimed the Bronze medal in the Rallycross competition at X Games 18 on Sunday! This race was missing two teammates under the Ford tent, Marcus Grönholm, and Toomas “Topi” Heikkinen. Both drivers suffered very unfortunate accidents which created injuries taking them out of X Games completely during their practice a day prior to the big event.

Deegan stepped onto the track committed for an all-out war against the ten other drivers, and more than prepared to take home his second X Games medal this weekend.
Deegan pinned it down the start line and gunned down the other drivers into turn one gaining plenty of speed for the front spot of the race.
Sverre Isachsen lost control of his vehicle after the jump and crashed into a wall, which created a red flag for the drivers and a mandatory restart.

During the ensuing restart, Deegan lurched forward on a false start and was pushed to the back of the field! This rally course was tight, a extremely small layout, and created any possible pass extremely difficult for all the drivers. Not letting the frustration get to him, the course went green and Deegan once again battled but this time from the back of the field.
Deegan utilized all of his experience in moto racing, rally, racing short course off-road and really kicked things into gear when he made some incredible passes on some of the worlds best drivers.
This was by far an amazing comeback fight leaving the fans on their feet. He held his speed and caught up to Foust for a final podium spot stand off. Deegan made his final move on Tanner and moved up, ready to rumble with Block toward the finish line on the last lap. With the narrow course in mind and approaching the checkered flag, Brian pushed his Fiesta full throttle while claiming the Bronze, .42 of a second behind Block.
