Maciej Janowski from Poland confirmed his determination to retain his title
World Under 21 Champion, Maciej Janowski from Poland confirmed his determination to retain his title with a win in Round 2 in Lendava, Slovenia on Saturday in a closely fought meeting. Having beaten his main Danish rivals Mikkel B. Jensen in Heat 6 and Michael J. Jensen in Heat 9 Janowski surprisingly dropped points to his fellow countrymen Patryk Dudek and Bartosz Zmarzlik but finished the meeting on 13 points which was sufficient to take him to the top of the leader board. Mikkel Busk Jensen was moving in a different direction starting with 6 points from his first 3 races but recovering with two good wins to reach a total of 12 points. Dudek who missed the first round through injury banked 11 points and will be looking to the next five rounds to climb up the list of title contenders. Sam Masters from Australia, also returning from injury, found the going tough and was able to score only 6 points.
