The final round of MX3 FIM Motocross World Championship started today with qualifying Race. 35 riders woke up with 12 degrees temperature in the morning and day started with busy timetable, because not only WMX and MX3 were racing but MX1 and MX2 as well. The year 2012 they are ending together on Grand Prix of Germany in Teutschenhal. The great motivation to defend the leadership in MX3 Matthias Walkner showed as he did the Qualifying race by system start – finish on the first place. German GP brought some surprises to spectators as they could witness very successful premier of the young Dennis Baudrexl, German boy who experienced his first GP ever and ended the second. Antonio Cairoli, current World Champion, dominated in MX1 and Tommy Searle in MX2. The home rider Ken Roczen, who came from USA to take part in this event, ended as the third in MX1. HILLINGER KTM MX-RACING TEAM´s Matthias Walkner was very self confident since the starting grid felt down. He took the hole shot and showed his superiority all qualifying race long. From time to time young German Dennis Baudrexl was endangering him but he didn´t allowed him to be in front. Even though in pre - qualifying practice he did the 8th best lap he is poleman for tomorrow's race. As it was written above, as the race surprise was consider Dennis Baudrexl as he made the 4th best lap in pre – qualifying and ended the second in the qualifying race. Nobody knew what to expect of the newcomers so the result of Baudrexl was unexpected because he just arrived on the scene. In some laps he was very close to overtake Matthias Walkner but Matthias stopped him at a right moment. The fight for the third place was just amazing to follow as there were Irt, Lonka, Michek and Neugebauer wanting to take it. At the end of the qualifying Martin Michek did it but it wasn´t that easy because he had to run up from 8th position. RSC - Racing Service Correggio´s rider was the fastest in pre qualifying and ended the third in qualifying. Czech rider Filip Neugebauer was another surprise of the day. Since pre – qualifying practice, when he made the second best lap time, he has been showing that others should count on him. In qualifying he had bad start but he patiently run up from the 14th to the 4th position. Moreover in the very last lap he was wheel on wheel with his compatriot Martin Michek. Fifth place belonged to Lukasz Lonka from Poland after consistent riding on this position since beginning. For a while he managed to be the fourth but afterwards he came down back on the fifth. Leaders of the MX3 FIM Motocross World Championship such as Gercar, Schmidinger and Irt had a bad luck as finishing worse than seventh. Günter Schmidinger ended as the 7th due to bad start as well as Klemen Gercar who were on the tenth position and he finally obtained the 8th place. Matevz Irt had some problems and felt in the second half of qualifying from the third place to the 33th and he left race untimely.
