The German Grand Prix, which will take place in Teutschenthal during the 23rd September weekend, will be the last one of the 2012 FIM Motocross World Championship season. The last rounds of the FIM MX3 and WMX World Championship will also be disputed in the German track during the same weekend, and whereas Chiara Fontanesi was proclaimed the World Champion in the penultimate round at Matterley Basin, the MX3 class is still open with Mathias Walkner at the front of the standings.Last year Teutschenthal hosted one of the most exciting Grand Prix of the season with Evgeny Bobryshev clinching his maiden GP win, while the German young talent Ken Roczen was winning in front of his home crowd. This year, although both MX1 and MX2 World Titles have been already decided, everybody is looking forward to the German Grand Prix, not only because it would be the last MXGP of the season, but also because Ken Roczen will take part in the MX1 class racing against the likes of Antonio Cairoli, Clement Desalle, Christophe Pourcel and Gautier Paulin among many others.MX1Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's Antonio Cairoli obtained his sixth FIM Motocross World Title two weeks ago in Faenza during the MXGP of Europe. The Italian admitted that winning the Title in front of his home crowd was very special, but after a week off, he is now looking forward to the last Grand Prix of the season to meet up with his "buddy" Ken Roczen, and why not, battle against him for the overall victory.Rockstar Energy Suzuki World's Clement Desalle has already assured the second place in the FIM MX1 World Championship, and although it is not what the Belgian was fighting for, Desalle has recently admitted that he finishes the season with a good feeling with himself. In the last two Grand Prix Desalle has been on the podium, so he is now determined to fight for the overall victory even if he is still having some problems with his hand injury. The third place in the MX1 point standings is still uncertain, as Gautier Paulin and Christophe Pourcel have only six points difference between them. At the moment, it is Kawasaki Racing Team's Paulin who is in third, so if he does a consistent race, like the one he did last year in Teutschenthal where he finished second overall, he will achieve his personal goal to finish in the top three in his first year in the MX1 class.CP377 Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit's Christophe Pourcel's has bittersweet memories from Teutschenthal, as it was the track where he made his comeback to the FIM Motocross World Championship last year, but he could not finish any of the heats. In any case, Pourcel faces the German Grand Prix as his last chance to finish third in the standings and it will be also the place where he may reveal his next year's plans.Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's Ken De Dycker is fifth in the MX1 point standings and he is travelling to Teutschenthal after having just been proclaimed the Belgian Motocross National Champion. The Belgian has really good memories from the German track where he won in 2010 and he rounded the top five last year, so he is now determined to finish the season on the top of the rostrum.Evgeny Bobryshev made history last year in Teutschenthal when he won his first Grand Prix on German soil, so for sure the Russian is facing the last Grand Prix determined to forget all the nightmares he has undergone this season and finish on the top of the podium again.Home rider Max Nagl, who crashed at the start of the first heat in Faenza two weeks ago, will be back on his KTM this weekend. The German had a small injury on his knee and he could not take part in the MXGP of Europe, but he will do his best do well at his home Grand Prix and try to finish on the podium.2011 MX1 Podium1. The Dutch rider obtained his maiden MX2 title in the previous Grand Prix in Faenza and he has been celebrating it with his friends and family in him hometown during the week he had off. This weekend he will take part in the German Grand Prix determined to be on the podium, but also focusing on the upcoming week, when he will take part in the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations representing the Netherlands. The second position of the FIM MX2 World Championship is for Team Floride Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit's Tommy Searle, who saw the Title going to the hands of Herlings in the previous Grand Prix. The British rider admitted that he is satisfied with his riding this season, but he would have liked to be the one obtaining the Title. Last year Searle was third overall in Teutschenthal, so he has many chances to finish the season on the top of the podium this weekend.Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's Jeremy Van Horebeek has the third position of the championship assured, but he is still missing to accomplish his main goal, winning an MXGP. For this reason, Van Horebeek will put his helmet on determined to give it all to be on the first step of the podium by the end of the weekend. The fourth position in the MX2 class is still to be decided, as Jake Nicholls and Jordi Tixier have only eight points difference between them. The Nestaan JM Racing KTM rider is at the front, so he only needs to have a good start and finish ahead of Tixier if he wants to finish fourth in the point standings.Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's Jordi Tixier will not leave things easy to the British rider, because he knows that he is still able fight for the fourth position in the point standings. The French rider has been very consistent during the whole season and he even obtained a podium finish in Kegums, Latvia, but the crash he suffered in the warm up of the Czech Grand Prix stopped him to finish the main races and obtained two DNF's, which made him lose the fourth place in the point standings.Joel Roelants is still sixth in the MX2 World Championship and he is very likely to keep such position even not taking part in the German Grand Prix, because Max Anstie is seventh, 44 points behind the Belgian. Jose ButrĂ³n will provably finish eighth of the championship, as Dylan Ferrandis will not be able to take part in the last Grand Prix of the season due to the injury he suffered in his femur during the Grand Prix of Europe.2011 MX2 Podium1.
